Thank you Firefighters!
For the past week, David and I have been down at our ranch in Southern Oregon. The day we arrived a new fire had been started by an automobile accident and a down power line. Currently, we are on evacuation level 1 and it’s lightly raining at the ranch. We want to thank all of the firefighters that are saving homes in our area. The helicopter pilots that are help to control the fire lines and all of the support staff that are helping to save small towns like Shady Cove.
Oregon has more wildfires now, than we ever remember and we are grateful to all of those that are helping communities all over our state. When we return to Sisters tomorrow, there is another fire in the area in Central Oregon too. This morning we have light rain at the ranch and we hope that this will help those on the front lines today and the days ahead. Praying for everyone’s safety and cooler weather.
Sunset at the ranch on July 19, 2026!
